Every September, communities across the nation come together to observe National Recovery Month, a campaign led by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This year’s theme, “Recovery is REAL: Restoring Every Aspect of Life,” highlights the truth that recovery is not only possible but it’s happening every day. SAMHSA reminds us that recovery is built on four major dimensions: health, home, community, and purpose … principles that align deeply with the work we do.
At Triple C Housing, we witness the strength of recovery daily. For more than 45 years, our mission has been to expand affordable housing opportunities and provide supportive services that help individuals, families, and veterans impacted by disability, homelessness, or hospitalization. We understand that healing is not a single step but a lifelong journey, and we are committed to walking alongside our residents as they rebuild their lives. Housing is more than a roof over someone’s head; it’s the foundation for wellness, stability, and dignity. When someone has a place to call home, they can begin to focus on recovery, reconnect with loved ones, and pursue their goals with confidence.
If you or someone you know is seeking recovery support, resources are available. SAMHSA’s National Helpline (1-800-662-HELP) offers free, confidential treatment referral and information 24/7. More information about services and support can be found on SAMHSA’s National Recovery Month Hub and through FindTreatment.gov, a resource that connects individuals with nearby care providers.
Together, we can shine a light on recovery and make a difference in the lives of people and families in our community.
