Leslie Stivale, President/CEO
Leslie Stivale is the President/CEO of Triple C Housing, Inc. (Triple C), a non-profit community housing development organization (CHDO) and supportive services provider. As a vision driven, results oriented leader, Leslie has expanded Triple C’s supportive housing programs, leveraging multiple funding sources to develop high quality, affordable housing and grow opportunities to enhance supportive services for individuals, families and veterans who have been formerly homeless and disabled.
Ms. Stivale possesses twenty nine years of experience in behavioral health, human services and the supportive housing industry having worked within the private and non-profit sectors in senior and executive management. She holds a master’s degree from Montclair State University, a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, a certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Rutgers Business School, and is a certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner (CPRP).
Ms. Stivale works closely with local, regional and state initiatives, and presents at national, state and local conferences with a focus on housing security and the social determinants of health. For over a decade, she served as the chair of the Camp Kilmer Collaborative-Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) to bring supportive housing and healthcare opportunities to serve homeless families and individuals.
In 2010, Ms. Stivale was appointed to the NJ Interagency Council for Preventing and Reducing Homelessness. In 2016, Triple C was awarded the Governor’s Excellence Award in Supportive Housing; in 2017, Leslie was presented with the prestigious Mort Gati award by the NJ Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
Ms. Stivale is the vice chair of the board of directors of the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ and Immediate Past President of NJPRA.
Kimberly Ewell, Director of Operations

Kimberly M. Ewell is the Director of Operations at Triple C. Since late 1997 when she started as a PT Residential Counselor, she quickly moved into management and leadership roles having served in various capacities including, Program Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Director of Outreach and Administrative Services. Ms. Ewell possesses 18 years of experience providing support and assistance to children and adults with special needs.
Ms. Ewell obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Rutgers University in 1995 and received a Masters in Counseling from the College of New Jersey in 2001. She is currently a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner and a former Board Member with NAMI Middlesex. In 2010, Ms. Ewell received the Transformation Award from the New Jersey Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

Paul Kiley, Controller
Paul Kiley has been in the position of Controller for Triple C since October 2008. Paul possesses over 19 years experience performing various accounting functions within the health care industry.
Paul’s past experience includes having worked for Integrated Health Services, Inc. starting out as a staff accountant and rising to the rank of Regional Controller for over 12 years. As Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting for Senior Health Management he was responsible for the oversight of 62 individual homes and $460MM in revenue.
Mr. Kiley graduated college from West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Accounting and passed the CPA Exam in 1994. He currently serves on various committees specific to finance and IT.

Kathy Whitty, Managing Director of HR/Administration
Managing Director of HR/Administration
Kathy Whitty joined Triple C Housing in early 2009, assuming responsibility for Human Resource Management.
Kathy brings with her several years of Human Resource experience, in the hospitality, retail and distribution industries. Her career began as Human Resource Manager for the Ramada Renaissance Hotel in East Brunswick, and then Human Resource Director for Popular Club Distribution Center in Edison, and Human Resource Manager for Levitz Furniture in Robbinsville.
In her current role with the Agency, Kathy is responsible for the Human Resources and Administration.

Smita Desai, Medical Billing Specialist
Medical Billing Specialist
Smita Desai began her career with Triple C in March 2016 as Medical Billing Specialist in the fiscal department where she acts as a liaison between Triple C and insurance carriers. Smita possesses a BS in Accounting from Bombay University and is a certified Medical Billing & Coding specialist. She also has expertise in CSS billing.
Smita has 10 years of accounting experience and 7 years of Medical Billing experience. She has previously worked at large medical billing facilities and she has successfully brought changes for the betterment of those organizations.
She is very passionate about the nonprofit sector and she has found her tenure with Triple C to be very rewarding.

Tonwa Skinner, Managing Director of Finance
Managing Director of Finance
Tonwa Skinner began her career with Triple C Housing, Inc. in July 2005 as Accounting Assistant and as a result of her strong work ethic and leadership ability she was promoted to Staff Accountant in the fiscal department where she currently manages the agency’s daily accounting operations.
She graduated with an Associate’s degree in accounting from Monroe College, NY and after moving to NJ, continued her education at Thomas Edison State College. She has a diverse background in accounting and plans to further her education in the field of accounting and non-profit management.
Her interests include traveling, reading, her family and the field of psychology.

Monique Hickson, Property Management Coordinator
Property Management Coordinator
Monique Hickson currently serves as the Property Management Coordinator for Triple C Housing, Inc. Ms. Hickson coordinates subsidy providers such as DCA, DMHAS, HUD, local Housing Authorities and private landlords with compliance for subsidized housing assistance applications and recertification, ensuring client eligibility and tenant lease compliance with all program regulations.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Hickson earned her AAD in Human Services for Children and her BS degree in Social Institutions from Cazenovia College.
Ms. Hickson has focused her career on serving low income families and/or people with disabilities at non-profit Agencies such as the Salvation Army, United Way, Head Start, the ARC-Virginia Peninsula prior to her tenure at Triple C Housing, Inc. She is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters.

Leslie Small, Regional Director
Leslie Small serves as the Regional Director managing the Supportive Housing Programs since 2012. Leslie provides oversight and hands-on support to the Supportive Housing programs in Ocean, Middlesex and Monmouth counties. Previously, Leslie served as the Supportive Housing Coordinator where he oversaw the supportive housing programs. Leslie possesses experience as a masters level therapist for a non-profit agency located in Burlington County.
Leslie graduated from Montclair State University with a BA in Psychology and from Capella University with a MS in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling. He is licensed in New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP).

Ruth Cook, Regional Director
Ruth Cook comes to Triple C Housing with almost 25 years of experience in community services, training, education, administration, consultation and advocacy. She holds a Masters degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The community services she has worked in over the years include: ICMS/case management, residential services, PACT, and homeless outreach. As an educator and trainer, she has over 12 years of experience assisting others in learning mental health, addictions, psychiatric rehabilitation, evidence-based practices, motivational strategies and cognitive behavioral strategies, to name a few. She continues to teach graduate and undergraduate classes for both Rutgers and Drexel Universities. Ruth has over 20 years of clinical, supervisory and consultation experience in the field of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and mental health. Ruth has also been involved in advocacy with NJPRA since 1992 and has been serving on the NJPRA board since 1999. She has held several Executive Board positions with NJPRA including treasurer, vice president and president of the Association.

Vanessa Wolven, Regional Manager
Vanessa Lefevre-Wolven serves as Regional Coordinator for Triple C providing supervision of the supportive housing program in Ocean County and SSBG (Superstorm Sandy Block Grant) program serving Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties. Vanessa has been an employee of the agency since 2013 where she started as a case manager in 2013. After a short time, Vanessa quickly assumed management and leadership roles.
Vanessa was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She returned to the United States at the age of 15 to pursue her education. After high school, Vanessa obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from SUNY Old Westbury, NY. In 2012, she subsequently received a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Long Island University, Westchester.
Prior to working at Triple C. Housing, Vanessa was employed at Mercy First where she was promoted numerous times. These promotions included Youth Support Counselor to Case Worker, Case Worker to Benefit Specialist and finally Human Resources Specialist. During her time at Mercy First Vanessa had been recognized numerous times by the agency not only for her hard work but also for the core beliefs and mission of the agency such as hospitality, justice, respect and excellence.

Danielle Corbin, Clinical Coordinator
Danielle Corbin serves as a clinical coordinator for Triple C Housing, focusing on Community Support Services, completing CRNA/IRP assessments, and providing supervision for the staff working in Monmouth and Middlesex counties.
Danielle obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2009 and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University in 2012. Danielle is licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed professional Counselor (LPC) and certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Prior to working at Triple C Housing, Danielle held many different roles within the mental health field working as a mental health clinician, case manager, and end of life phone counselor.
Danielle has a passion for helping and positively impacting others; Danielle hopes to continue to advocate for the field as a whole and consumers’ that we work with every day.

Nancy Hmieleski, Regional Registered Nurse

Nancy Hmieleski serves as Health & Wellness Coordinator and has been a full-time employee of the agency since 2011.
Nancy graduated from Overlook Hospital School of Nursing in Summit, NJ in 1970. She graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science, majoring in Nurse Education, and obtained her license as a Registered Nurse in 1983. She furthered her education in 1997 having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Supervision and Health Case Management from Rutgers University, Cook College. Additionally, she holds accreditation in Gerontology Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center for over 20 years.
Nancy has over 28 years experience as a Registered Nurse, working in the hospital and nursing home environment, home health residential care, and supportive housing. Prior to her appointment as Coordinator with Triple C, she was the Nursing Supervisor for Active Home Care for 11 years, and Director of Nursing for 14 years. She is state certified through the New Jersey Board of Nurses to teach and certify home health aides.

Patricia Powell, Regional Registered Nurse
Regional Registered Nurse
Patricia Juanita Powell serves as a Registered Nurse and has been an employee of the agency since 2011. Pat was born in North Carolina, raised in New York City, then traveled to Boston, MA to broaden her horizons. She worked at Boston State Hospital, Boston Superior Court and Walpole State Prison while attending evening college at North Eastern University and Middlesex College of Massachusetts. In 1980, Patricia moved to New Brunswick, NJ and in 1984 she graduated from the Middlesex County College Registered Nursing Program with an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
Patricia worked at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, specializing in orthopedic and geriatric nursing and in 1987 Patricia broadened her nursing scope into the field of criminal justice and correctional nursing. She began her 25 year career in correctional nursing at Middlesex County Department of Corrections and Juvenile Services. She was instrumental in developing the first accredited course in correctional nursing at Rutgers University. She was also employed as an ambulatory per diem nurse at the Eric B. Chandler Health Clinic in New Brunswick.
Patricia has embarked upon a highly specialized field of mental health nursing and continues her Certified Correctional Nurse status with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, as well as, the New Jersey State Board of Nursing licensure.
