Representatives met with state legislators and national groups to discuss critical issues in affordable housing.

NEW JERSEY (June 13, 2022) – The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey (HCDNNJ) hosted its annual New Jersey Legislative Week from June 13th to June 17th.

Triple C representatives Meyer Pincelli and Daniel Gilmartin attended the kickoff luncheon in Trenton and heard from leaders like state Senator Nelly Pou and Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora on current issues in the state’s housing landscape.

Senator Pou, who is currently sponsoring a bill to target racial home devaluation practices, spoke on the issue at the event. “Sadly, discriminatory practices in home appraisals are alive and well in New Jersey,” she said.

The New Jersey Institute for Social Justice and HCDNNJ’s national partner, the National Low Income Housing Coalition, also spoke at the event.

Triple C has long worked with HCDNNJ towards advancing housing development advocacy and state legislative priorities. “This event was an opportunity to continue that partnership and support the work of the Network,” said Triple C Development Specialist Meyer Pincellli.
