“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”

Franklin D. Roosevelt

· Families comprise 41% of America’s Homeless; of the remaining 59%, 23-40% are veterans and 25% are persons diagnosed with a mental illness.

· Mental illness affects 60 million adults in the United States. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 4 people are affected by a mental health or brain disorder. The World Health Organization (WHO) is warning that depression is set to become the main cause of disability and second leading health problem by 2020.

· The lack of affordable housing is rated third highest (43%) behind mental illness, for singles, and a staggering 87% for families, as the most common cause of homelessness.

· Studies show that poor mental health and psychological distress are directly linked to poverty. Poverty, acting through economic stressors such as unemployment and lack of affordable housing, is more likely to precede mental illness than the reverse.

Triple C Housing partners with individuals who are at risk of homelessness, poverty stricken and with special needs. Our mission is to provide permanent, supportive housing opportunities coupled with innovative support services, empowering individuals to live independently with dignity and to fulfill their utmost potential. The current economic climate magnifies our mission to extend our reach to the multitude of individuals in need, on the brink of homelessness, long term institutionalization or persons further marginalized by poverty and mental illness.
It is through the generous support of our donors that we have been able to expand our services to reach the growing number of persons in need of affordable housing, supervised care, and community based support services.
Your contribution is entirely tax deductible. Your gift will directly benefit those we serve. Help someone in great need to secure housing, purchase household items, purchase medications and access medical care; just a few ways in which your donation will impact those we serve.
It is through the tremendous generosity of donors that we can truly make a difference in the lives of others to live independently with dignity.
